You’ve heard of Spring Cleaning – How about Fall Cleaning?

Spring cleaning is the annual practice of deep cleaning and purging of stale items your home. Around the country, people open their windows to let the cool spring breeze through their homes. In Florida, we don’t have a cool breeze, until fall – so we work with that. It’s dropped to 70 degrees outside, a beautiful, breezy and cool 70 degrees. I can get on board with that. I’ll take this opportunity to open the windows, air out my home and purge stale items (food, clothes, trinkets, etc.). Out with the old and in with the new!

And because I’ll use any excuse to make a list, I’ve built out a Fall Cleaning Checklist:

  • Unused Items (1 Year)
  • Broken Hangers
  • Outgrown (Or Smelly) Shoes
  • Unused Purses
  • Donate Outgrown Clothing
  • Ripped Umbrellas
  • General Clutter
