What’s Trending This Summer

This year has had its fair share of surprises. While there’s not much we can predict anymore, there are a few things we can expect to see and can look forward to! From fashion trends to home décor and a new way of traveling, here’s a sneak peek into summer 2020.

Neon colors – Whether it’s a swimsuit top or nail polish, neon colors will be a trend this summer. From bright greens to yellows, this summer’s shades will be bold and vibrant.

High ponytails – According to POPSUGAR, women are going to be sporting in 2020 high ponytails more than in previous years. One reason this trend will thrive in the coming weeks is because of the new normal we’re all facing of having to wear a mask wherever we go. With the ponytail, you’ll be able to keep your hair away from your face and from tangling up in your mask. It’s also bound to be a warmer-than-average summer, which means women will be doing everything they can to stay cool.

Floral wallpaper – Like many of us have been doing, homeowners are renovating more than normal and this countrywide trend has been on the rise since COVID-19 peaked. For those looking to update walls and décor inside the home, floral wallpapers are making a big comeback this year. According to Good Housekeeping, these pretty patterns are great for bathroom walls and foyers.

Road trips and staycations – No surprise here! People across the country are not looking to hop on an airplane any time soon with the pandemic still very much alive and are opting to hit the road instead. Business Insider shared that the coronavirus has reshaped the way people travel and what they’re expecting the next time they venture out with family and friends. In the wake of the pandemic, RV sales have also increased and will continue to do so in the coming weeks as Americans try to vacation in a safer manner.

Whoever said 2019 was a bad year, didn’t know what 2020 had in store. While there might be more surprises up ahead, let’s enjoy this summer’s staycation trend, spruce up the inside of our homes and play around with fun colors because at least, we still have that to work with.
