What’s Trending on Netflix

Seems like every time I go on Netflix there are new action movies, food shows and documentaries to watch. While many of us are spending a lot more time at home than we have in the past, thought it might be a good idea to round up what’s trending on Netflix (that is for this week at least).

The Floor is Lava – A new take on your average game show, The Floor is Lava has contestants doing everything they can to not touch the “lava” under their feet while maneuvering their way around an obstacle course. While it’s not a complicated concept at all, there are moments where contestants will be hanging from curtains, jumping from slippery platforms and climbing furniture-like objects that may lead to a bruise or two. Each episode is about 30 minutes long.

The Nut Job – For kids, Netflix debuted The Nut Job. Lasting an hour and 25 minutes, the movie will take viewers through the journey of a purple squirrel named Surly as he plans to rob a nut shop ahead of wintertime. Cute and short enough to keep the kids’ interest.

13 Reasons Why – Doesn’t it seem like this show has been on Netflix forever? At least that’s how it feels for me. While every season has brought its round of controversy, the fourth and final season has debuted at Netflix’s top 10 list. While season 3 was a hit and kept my attention trying to figure out who committed the murder (won’t say of who just in case you’re catching up), this last season just doesn’t do it for me. However if you’ve watched all of the previous seasons, you kind of feel like you have to finish this one out.

Athlete A – In the last few years, USA Gymnastics has gone through more downs than ups. Athlete A explores this toxic environment, corruption and abuse many women put up with in the world of gymnastics as they follow their dreams. This hour and forty-four minute documentary focuses on the gymnasts that survived this and the reporters that broke the case.
