Over the last few months, the Fish team has been busy preparing for the 2018 NextGen in Franchising Global Competition — a worldwide program that engages millennial entrepreneurs seeking to grow their business through the franchise business model. From nearly 900 applications from around the globe, a panel of judges selected 20 winners that hail from the United States, Canada, Kenya, the Philippines, Australia, Hungary, Nicaragua, and Uganda.
Concepts range from a donut shop and senior care franchise to a virtual reality arcade and emergency service provider platform. Our 2018 NextGen in Franchising winners represent the future of our industry and we couldn’t be more excited to meet them in Phoenix next month.
Heading to Phoenix? We invite you to check out these amazing young entrepreneurs. On Sunday, Feb. 11, from 8:30-11:30 a.m., winners will present their businesses to a panel of judges for a chance to compete for cash prizes on the main stage during Tuesday’s general session. This initial round of the NextGen in Franchising Global Competition is open to all attendees to watch, so swing by North 221 A-C in the Phoenix Convention Center to see the next generation of franchisors in action.
The final round of the Global Competition will begin at approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, during the general session. Daymond John —a serial entrepreneur, CEO, award-winning businessman, founder of billion-dollar company FUBU, and Shark Tank star — will share his business expertise with winners, and the audience, as a judge.
Stay tuned to the blog later this month when we’ll officially announce the 2018 NextGen in Franchising Global Competition winners!
