We love when our clients give back, which is why we were pretty stoked to help Neighborly, a community platform of specialty home services founded by the Dwyer Group, launch The Neighborly Project. This amazing home improvement initiative honors veterans with complimentary home repair services. Because after all, showing appreciation and thanking veterans who have put their lives on the line to protect and serve our nation shouldn’t be limited to just Veteran’s Day.
The project kicked off in Jacksonville, Florida on March 1st when the public was invited to nominate a former enlisted serviceman or woman who was honorably discharged from service and lives in an older home in the Jacksonville area that could benefit from Neighborly’s services, which range from restoration, appliance repair, window and shower glass panel repair/replacement to plumbing, window and gutter cleaning, maid services and painting.
The team at Neighborly recently selected the finalist, and renovations to the veteran’s home will begin mid-June. A few of the Jacksonville-area Neighborly brands – Mr. Rooter Plumbing, Glass Doctor, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Handyman, Window Genie, Rainbow International and Molly Maid – will all join forces to help the family by providing assistance on various renovation projects around his home including plumbing work, sliding glass door replacement, carpet and tile cleaning, power washing and more.
We’re so excited to see the final renovations, but we’re even more excited to support a great initiative that honors such a deserving veteran who has put his life on the line to protect and serve our nation.
