‘Tis the Season to Make Travel Plans

If you’re like me, the minute I get back from a trip I start to plan for another. Meeting new people, exploring different cultures and tasting local cuisines that aren’t in the U.S. fuels me like nothing else. And there’s nothing wrong with looking forward to being away from the constant Teams chats and emails for a week or two.

So, I did a little bit of digging across my favorite websites, such as Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure, and put together a list of some of the best places experts recommend checking out next year.

Hungary – specifically Budapest – is among one of the top destinations for 2024. The reason for that is because it has a lot to offer for all sorts of travelers. From worldly architecture to thermal baths and a buzzing nightlife, Budapest serves as the perfect spot for those looking to explore a little bit of everything while being in one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals. U.S. News & World Report has a great guide to visiting Budapest here.

French Polynesia also made the list of places to visit. Sustainability is a trendy word in Tahiti that’s drawing many tourists to this part of the world. Coral restoration is a big focus and there are many organizations playing a part in fighting global warming here. Not to mention too that next year Tahiti will host the 2024 Paris Olympics surf competition in a local village known as having the deadliest waves in the world.

And that brings me to the next place that will be all the talk next year (which just happens to also be one of my favorite cities to visit) – Paris. Starting July 26, the City of Love will be welcoming around 10,500 athletes! If you’re interested in checking out any of the sporting events in person, new tickets are available starting November 30 on the official Olympics website.

The options on where to go next year are endless! It’s all about what type of adventure you’re looking for and what time of year you want to make the trek out overseas. Either way, don’t let that PTO run out and be sure to disconnect from all the noise we have in our everyday lives and enjoy the wonders of traveling.
