My age is showing with this blog post, but it had to be written. I guess you couldn’t exactly call Taylor Swift’s song a comeback, but hey its been a few years so we’ll go with it. Last week, Taylor released a new song called “Me” featuring Brendon Urie from Panic! at the Disco. The video, which was released simultaneously, broke YouTube’s record for most watched video in 24 hours. That being said, I think I have the unpopular opinion. The song and video were less than satisfying. “Me” sounded childish, but definitely a song that could easily get stuck in your head (not in a good way). What happen to 1989 Taylor? Now, that was an album I could rock with.
On the other hand, the Jonas Brothers have also recently released new music. The band has been broken up for quite a while, but their return to the big time didn’t disappoint. Their song “Sucker” was a hit and the video featured the fiancés and wives we’ve all come to love. Not long after, they released another single titled “Cool” and again, I love it. Their comeback is bringing back all kinds of childhood memories and honestly, I’m not mad at it. Ready for more!
