When most people hear Bravo, they immediately think of The Real Housewives – and with good reason. Last week was the 15th anniversary year of the very first Real Housewives franchise (The OC), and there’s no doubt that the series has been groundbreaking for reality TV in general. However, Bravo is chock-full of SO many more top-notch reality TV shows, and believe it or not, my boyfriend even enjoys watching some of the non-housewife series (though he’ll kill me if he knows I’m admitting that).
If middle-aged women fighting isn’t your jam, here are some of the best non-housewife shows you can find on Bravo.
1. Vanderpump Rules. Originally a spin-off of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Vanderpump Rules has emerged as one of the best and top-rated shows on the channel. The first three seasons are truly the pinnacle of quality TV, and the cast is full of extremely good-looking people with extremely questionable morals, AKA the perfect combination for entertainment.
2. Summer House. The first two seasons are skippable, but starting with season three and onward, Summer House is truly flawless reality TV. Best of all, it’s one of the only shows on TV right now that’s practically made for the COVID world. The current season is airing and they’re all locked away in a house together for six weeks, and let’s just say that them having no escape from each other is likely horrible for them, but fabulous TV for us.
3. Below Deck. I don’t know why watching a bunch of yachties serve obnoxious rich people is A+ entertainment, but it is. Best of all, every season the cast rotates so you can basically jump in and binge watch wherever. I personally prefer Below Deck vs. Below Deck Med, but both are worth a watch (we won’t speak of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, which doesn’t do the franchise justice).
