Summer Fun Research: Wine Time

Months of planning goes into our annual Summer Fun week at fish. The team building activity, the venue, the food, the drinks, the post-party drinks, the list goes on and on. One of my favorite parts to plan is… the wine. We close the office early on Wednesday of Summer Fun week for an in-office happy hour and the top drink choice is wine! And when it comes to wine, my research should be shared so here’s my top wine selections from this year.

Domaine Chenevieres Chablis
“Chablis, Burgundy, France – Well-balanced white wine, crispy with an elegant freshness. On the palate, falvors of yellow fruits, like pear, apple, and mandarin.”

Alma Terra Rias Baixas Albarino
“Rias Baixas, Spain- An aroma of fruity and floral notes such as apple and stone fruit become present. Freshness with a good mix of acidity balance the body and structure of this wine.”

Hampton Water Rose, 2020
Wine Spectator-Languedoc, France- “This rose is elegant and refreshing, showcasing some density to the silky layers of melon, white raspberry and spice, with elements of wet stone and flowers building along the creamy finish. An appealing style. Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Syrah.”

La Crema Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
“Sonoma, CA- Aromas of ripe cherry, cocoa, anise and rich baking spices. Plush flavors of cherry, plum and pomegranate meld with hints of delicate tea leaf. Structured, balanced acidity and elegant, firm tannins round out the mouth.”
