Summer Fun Research: The Cocktail Question

While conducting research for our annual Summer Fun event, I tend to have trouble with a major task: picking just one cocktail. Last year, we ended up addicted to Minty Melons from Boatyard. As in, the bar ran out of watermelons because of our team. Two years ago, we concocted our own version of Pimm’s Cup and subtly switched our water cooler out for our very own “English afternoon tea”. This year, who knows? Below are a few of my favorite cocktails that I hope to make at our Summer Fun festivities.

Moscow Mule
Oh, the Moscow Mule, my tried-and-true summer sipper. Vodka, ginger beer and lime juice served in a copper mug. My first summer fun was filled with Moscow Mules. Maybe it’s time to revisit?

Old Cuban Cocktail
How could you not love a drink with Bacardi, Champagne and mint? Squeeze in a little lime juice and some simple syrup and you have yourself the next Summer Fun cocktail.Basil Gimlet
Gin and Basil? Yes, please!

CRUcumber
Vodka, cucumber and lemon juice with some simple syrup sounds delicious to me! I have a feeling this will be the winner.
