Suggested COVID-19 Communications Protocol for Your System

As the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads across the U.S., we continue to get requests and questions from clients related to communications best practices. With that said, we wanted to provide you with a draft of suggested communications to help prepare your system for the potential impact. This is a follow-up to the initial Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance we shared on Feb. 27.

If you haven’t already communicated with your corporate teams and franchisees, you should do so immediately. Please see this linked document for your consideration:

  • Coronavirus: Prevention for You, Your Team, and Customers
  • Coronavirus: What to Do If an Employee Shows Symptoms or Tests Positive

These are based on CDC’s guidance for businesses and employers, but are designed to be edited based on what’s already been communicated to your system and for you to add any relevant direction and procedures specific to your business.

CDC is continuing to provide updates via its website, so we recommend checking www.cdc.gov for the latest guidance. Please remember that Fish is here to support you through this time. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or would like to discuss any specific impact on your business.
