It’s no secret we’ve all had to hit pause on any outdoor activities or travel plans we had coming up. The pandemic has spread from one continent to another and following the CDC’s recommendations, there is no traveling to be done by anyone at this time. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t look towards the future and to get my mind off the critical times we’re experiencing, I decided to make a list of a few things I can’t wait to do once our day-to-day life goes back to normal.
Happy Hour at a Local Bar
No matter how creative we’ve gotten with how we celebrate everyone’s most favorite time of the day, it’s not the same as how we used to do it. There’s something fun and exciting about shutting the laptop down, changing into a new outfit and hitting happy hour with family and friends at a local spot. I’m sure I’m not the only one that can’t wait to do that again!
Plan a New Vacay
Has anyone thought of all the PTO we’re saving up during the outbreak? Once travel bans are lifted, I am most definitely planning a trip – as will the rest of the world. I kicked off 2020 with plans to travel to Norway and explore the Scandinavian region that my husband’s family is originally from. To no surprise, those plans have been out on hold, but I am hopeful that we will be able to pick up planning a trip sooner rather than later
Go to the Store
Whether it’s going to get groceries without having to worry about there being no toilet paper or shopping at the local boutique, I look forward to freely (and safely) being able to visit a store. While Whole Foods delivery through Amazon and online shopping alleviates some of the burden, I think I speak for everyone that we’ve all reached a point where being cooped up all day every day is getting old.
While no one knows when the pandemic will be over and we’ll get back to living our lives the way we used to, there’s no shame in staying hopeful and positive. Taking time on the weekend or in the afternoon after work to jot down what you want to do once everything is back to normal will be a step in a positive direction and hopefully keep you somewhat sane.
