Let’s rewind to last weekend, where this millennial’s TikTok “For You” page was filled with “oh oh tee dee” videos (meaning “outfit of the day;” example here) posted by the new freshman class at University of Alabama rushing for a bid at a coveted sorority. As a fashion lover, wannabe southern belle, and past sorority girl myself (shoutout Alpha Phi), I was hooked! Each day during rush week, the potential sorority girls would post their viral OOTDs, calling out brands including Love Shack Fancy, David Yurman (bracelets from their Mama), to extra sparkly Golden Goose (perfect for skipping from the Phi Mu house to Kappa Kappa Gamma on sorority row while taking TikTok dance breaks).
