In PR, we’re always looking for new, creative ideas, and social media is a great place to find inspiration. Social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok have had a profound effect on the public relations industry, providing PR pros with fresh content to help fuel new campaigns for our clients.
The grasp these trends have on social media goes beyond the platforms they’re originally posted on- they often end up creating a captive audience throughout the media in our nation entirely. When brainstorming fresh new angles, we strive to think outside the box and look for unique approaches to successfully position our clients as relevant, timely sources throughout both national and local media outlets. People love to talk about the new trends that are constantly emerging through social media, and we’re happy to help our clients join the conversation. Understanding how influential these trends can be, we’re always eager to find ways for our clients to connect to what’s trending and provide their own insight.
We recently presented our client, The Cleaning Authority, with a new PR angle that is focused on.
#CleanTok, the viral hashtag with over 32.1 billion views on Tik Tok. The videos found throughout #CleanTok consist of cleaning tips and tricks, from simple, quick hacks to innovative DIY cleaning solutions. While these videos continue to maintain their popularity, some are better left on the internet. Unfortunately, while they may be satisfying to view, some of these viral videos consist of some pretty bad cleaning advice.
With that said, we felt there was a great opportunity for the cleaning experts at The Cleaning Authority to debunk some of the app’s popular cleaning tips and warn people of any potentially harmful cleaning hacks and solutions. Our inspiration for this new angle developed through seeing these #CleanTok videos throughout our own social media channels, and finding ourselves curious about which hacks work, and which do not. Through our upcoming PR efforts, we will position The Cleaning Authority as expert #CleanTok “debunkers”, providing media outlets a great source to discuss this trending topic.
Keep an eye on #CleanTok and see what The Cleaning Authority thinks is worth the scrub.
