Monday nights are for one thing and one thing only – The Bachelorette. What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic with a competitive side who wants to know who will win! (The rose and love, of course.)
In a little over a week, Becca Kufrin will choose the man she wants to be with for the long haul. After weeding through 28 men, who are the two lucky front-runners? Blake Horstmann and Garrett Yrigoyen. I’m definitely#TeamGarrett, but don’t get me wrong – Blake is a great catch too.
Garrett
Garrett is a 29-year-old medial sales rep from Nevada. Besides his super bubbly, kind personality, Garrett is a lover of the great outdoors whose perfect idea for a date is planting tomatoes. No seriously, they did this and she loved him for it.
He received Becca’s first impression rose, which is pretty significant. If you look at Kaitlyn Bristowe, Rachel Lindsay and Jo Jo Fletcher’s season of the Bachelorette, then you’ll know its very common for the first impression rose recipient to win. However, Garrett did make headlines in the beginning of the season for some poor social media choices. He apparently liked some Twitter posts that insulted women and the trans community. Unfortunately, he mad a bad judgment call and if you’ve been watching at all this season, you will see he’s not that guy! I hope…
Blake
Now switching over to the 28-year-old sales rep from Colorado. Blake was one of the first men to meet Becca during the After the Final Rose special in March. He literally brought a horse onstage and for his entrance on night one…rode in on an ox. No way Becca was going to forget those entrances, so I guess it worked?
From the start, Blake has put his entire heart out on the line. He tells Becca he loves her pretty early on and isn’t afraid to be vulnerable. That being said, he may be a little too emotional about a girl he just met a handful of weeks ago, but who am I to judge?
Who wins? Stay tuned!
