Today was a very special day for the Fish Fam! We got to celebrate former Fishie, Claibourne (Clay) Rogers and her husband, Nicholas (Nick), in their newest endeavor as Chicken Salad Chick franchisees. To catch you all up to speed, Fish has proudly been working alongside Chicken Salad Chick, the nation’s only Southern inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, for the past seven years or so. Clay was with the brand at Fish from the start, watching the unique concept dominate the fast casual industry. For Clay, it was love at first sight and only a matter of time before she brought the idea to Nick to open their very own restaurant.
Luckily for us, Clay went through with it and brought Chicken Salad Chick’s first-ever South Florida location right to us in Coral Springs. Of course, the Fish Fam had to stop by for some of the fun on grand opening day where, in classic Chicken Salad Chick fashion, exciting giveaways drew in a fantastic crowd of new Chick fans. To top it off, Clay and Nick plan on opening another location in Boca Raton within the next few years. South Florida, keep an eye out for Chicks popping up everywhere!
At Fish, we have something called a Kudos Board, where we all give each other shout outs for the amazing things we do daily. Clay, this is a special Kudos to you! For not only opening your first business but doing so just about a month after giving birth to your newest son. Super mom and franchisee right there!
For the Fish team, we’ve seen this inspiring tale before. Working alongside franchises everyday has left quite a few Fishies with the entrepreneurial bug, causing them to chase their passions as business owners. We were thrilled to be there for Clay as her family takes on this new journey and, selfishly for us, even more excited to know we finally have a Chicken Salad Chick right around the corner!
