Fitness, Health, & Wellness

  • The New York Times has a 28-day Healthy Habits Well-Challenge and we are here ???? for ????it. ????
  • The American College of Sports Medicine released its list of the top five fitness trends for 2020 — and it makes me feel better about constantly wearing my Garmin.

Retail

  • The demand for secondhand clothing is on the rise and Gap Inc. just signed a partnership deal with apparel resale site ThredUp. We may start our spring (closet) cleaning a little early this year.

  • As Macy’s shutters its traditional (huge) stores, it opened a new (smaller) concept in Dallas-Fort Worth — Market by Macy’s.

Beauty

  • Busy Philipps, Denise Bidot, and Lilly Singh are the faces of a new Olay campaign that kicks off the company’s commitment to “zero skin retouching” in its ads.
  • 25% of women are wearing less makeup, according to NPD Group, but sales of skincare products were up 5% last year.
  • This startup wants to be “the Drybar for women of color.”
