Feeling stressed working from home? Here are some pressure points to help

According to Bloomberg Business, employees that are working from home are now putting in longer hours than ever. It’s easy to get lost in the work world and put your computer away when there’s nothing else to do, and there’s no doubt constantly checking in on work during or after work hours can cause anxiety and stress throughout your day. When I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed or stressed, I use these pressure points on myself to help calm nerves and relieve stress.

  • Hall of impression point: The hall of impression point lies between your eyebrows. Apply pressure with your index finger or thumb to help with both anxiety and stress.
  • The heavenly gate: The heavenly gate point is located in the upper shell of your ear. Apply firm pressure in a circular motion on this point to help relieve anxiety, stress and insomnia.
  • The shoulder well points: The shoulder well point is in your shoulder muscle. To find it, pinch your shoulder muscle with your middle finger and thumb. The pressure helps with relieving stress, muscle tension and headaches.
  • Union valley point: You find this pressure point in the webbing between your thumb and index finger. Massage the pressure point to help reduce stress, headaches and neck pain.
  • The great surge point: The great surge pressure point is on your foot, about two or three finger widths below the intersection of your big toe and second toe. Apply firm and deep pressure to help with pain, insomnia and menstrual cramps.
  • Inner frontier gate: You can find the inner frontier gate point on your arm, about three finger widths below your wrist. Apply pressure to the point to help reduce anxiety while also relieving nausea and pain.
