With Labor Day come and gone, summer is officially over, which means one thing: the fall TV season is about to begin. This is especially exciting if you have something like at&t tv, which gives you access to hundreds of channels! It’s kind of like back to school for adults, except instead of homework we have a laundry list of episodes to stay on top of each week. While the start of the fall TV season used to mean big networks were set to debut their latest primetime hit, in today’s changing media landscape, a new TV season also includes anticipated releases from streaming services (bad news for networks, great news for us). This year, fall is jam-packed with must-see TV, so be prepared for office conversation to be dominated by who’s watched what, and to be tempted every weekend to cancel your plans in favor of a nice, long binge session.
Courtesy of Esquire and USA Today, here’s a recap of some of the most anticipated upcoming series debuting this fall, and where you can watch them. If you’re unable to watch these anywhere on the specified streaming platforms, you may be interested in looking at something like a TPB proxy so you can have access to many different sources of entertainment ready for download and your viewing pleasure! That way you can never miss out on some of the most popular series coming this TV season!
Watchmen
- Who’s in it: Regina King, Jeremy Irons
- Where to watch: HBO
- Why it’s worth the time: Honestly, we could just say “It’s Watchmen,” and that would be enough of a reason to watch it. But the long-anticipated HBO series not only looks like it’s beautifully shot, incredibly cast, and just the kind of series that might give all of Disney+’s upcoming series a run for its money. Also Watchmen deserves a redo after that unfortunate movie a few years back.

The Morning Show
- Who’s in it: Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell
- Where to watch: Apple TV+
- Why it’s worth the time: Apple TV+’s initial series outing is a big swing for the upcoming streaming platform. If you’re going to have a big opening, there’s no better person to anchor it than wonder woman, Reese Witherspoon. Following the complex inner workings of a morning news show, Witherspoon will be joined by Steve Carell and Jennifer Aniston.

His Dark Materials
- Who’s in it: James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, Lin-Maunel Miranda
- Where to watch: HBO
- Why it’s worth the time: The fantasy series from New Line Cinema, BBC, and HBO looks like an absolute juggernaut. It’s boasting big names and was developed from a book series of the same name from Philip Pullman. In the world of His Dark Materials, the story centers around a girl named Lyra who quickly picks up on the evil doings of those around her. Pair that story with a world where all humans have animal counterparts, and it’s game on.

The Politician
- Who’s in it: Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow
- Where to watch: Netflix
- Why it’s worth the time: “The Politician” stars Ben Platt (“Pitch Perfect,” “Dear Evan Hansen”) as a pathologically driven high school student who is convinced he will become president of the United States. The first step on his journey is president of his senior class, and he will do anything to win. Co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow as Platt’s mother, “Politician” is more akin to early seasons of “Glee” than recent seasons of “American Horror Story;” “Politician” has just the right amount of surrealism and melodrama without going over the edge, at least in early episodes.

On Becoming a God in Central Florida
- Who’s in it: Kirsten Dunst
- Where to watch: Showtime
- Why it’s worth the time: This gigantic pyramid scheme set in the ’90s is absolute Emmy jerky for Dunst and Showtime. Playing a Southern woman down on her luck, this is the kind of role that’s practically designed for Dunst.

Carnival Row
- Who’s in it: Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne
- Where to watch: Amazon Prime
- Why it’s worth the time: In the wake of Game of Thrones, it seems that fantasy fans are finally getting a bit more of a variety when it comes to series entering the genre. On top of that, Carnival Row features Orlando Bloom in a TV series, which is a big get as well.

Living With Yourself
- Paul Rudd
- Where to watch: Netflix
- Why it’s worth the time: In this new comedy from “Daily Show” writer Timothy Greenberg, the great Paul Rudd stars as Miles, a depressed, struggling and unmotivated man who can’t even seek fertility doctors. He seeks out an unconventional treatment for his malaise at a strip mall spa and receives much more than he bargained for. Without spoiling the first episode’s major twist, let’s just say the riotously smart series gives you a double dose of Rudd.
The Witcher
- Who’s in it: Henry Cavill
- Where to watch: Netflix
- Why it’s worth the time: If you’re a fan of the video game and book series, then you’re a shoo-in for the series. Beyond the general fandom, The Witcher looks like a giant venture from Netflix, with sweeping shots and a big-name lead in Henry Cavill.
