Bored at home? Try some of these things to pass the time

Don’t get me wrong, I miss the gym and going out as much as anyone. Since all of non-essential businesses recently closed down to help slow the curve of COVID-19, our ways of staying active indoors are limited…or so we think! Here are a few things you can do while also practicing social distancing.

  • Try an at home workout! There are many ways to keep active while practicing social distancing. Apps like Down Dog, Beachbody, and Physique 57 are great to use for new workouts and mediations indoors. If you don’t want to be stuck inside, go on a run! Just remember to keep a safe distance.
  • Foster a dog. One of our Fishies recently fostered two dogs, and I must say – that is the CUTEST idea ever. Dogs seem to be safe from the virus, and they will definitely keep you busy throughout the day. Not to mention, the amazing companionship you’ll have in isolation.
  • Start a puzzle. Because, why not?
  • Start a craft project. Make a collage, scrapbook, paint something, or maybe learn how to knit! I’ve been making a scrapbook for the last year or so, and always use the excuse that I never have the time to finish it. Well no more excuses! This time is giving me the chance to finish a long term project that has been waiting to be completed.
  • This doesn’t sound like the most fun, but nothing a little bit of music can’t fix. Besides, not only will it pass the time but your place will be spotless!
  • Cook or bake some goodies. With thousands of online recipes online, why not cook or bake something special? By the time we’re able to go back to our normal routines, you’ll be an iron chef!
  • Virtual Happy Hour! Our agency recently started doing happy hours through Zoom since we can’t all enjoy it together, and it’s an amazing way to stay connected and have fun! There is something extremely comforting in pouring yourself a drink and catching up with your friends or coworkers.
