Recently, I visited Dubai, the cosmopolitan gem of the Middle East. This vibrant city welcomed me with open arms, offering unforgettable experiences that left me in awe. From exhilarating ATV rides in the desert to being at the top of the Burj Khalifa, my Dubai experience was filled with unforgettable moments of cultural exploration and adventure. If you were ever thinking of visiting Dubai, here are a few recommendations to add to your to-do list.
One of the highlights of my trip was venturing into the desert on a guided tour. My adrenaline soared as I hopped on an ATV and rode through the mesmerizing golden dunes. The thrill continued as I embarked on a dune bugging adventure where the driver drifted between dunes (pedal to the metal). After, I hopped on a camel because I couldn’t leave Dubai without doing so.
No visit to Dubai would be complete without a journey to the top of the iconic Burj Khalifa. As I ascended the world’s tallest building, anticipation filled my mind. Stepping onto the observation deck during sunset was a moment of sheer bliss and the panoramic views of the city’s skyline were breathtaking to watch as day turned into night.
Known as the largest mall in the world, Dubai Mall did not disappoint. I explored the many stores and got lost a few times but enjoyed wandering around and appreciating the architecture. I also got to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque; another magnificent masterpiece filled with an abundance of history. The white structure was blinding yet beautiful with intricate designs surrounding both the interior and exterior grounds.
Dubai’s commitment to safety and cleanliness left a lasting impression on me. The city’s impeccable infrastructure and well-maintained public spaces reflect its dedication to providing a comfortable and secure environment for residents and visitors. The welcoming and friendly locals further enhanced my experience, making me feel welcomed.
Despite the long journey from the US, my Dubai adventure was nothing short of remarkable. From exhilarating desert escapades to awe-inspiring heights and cultural marvels, Dubai left a permanent mark on my heart. Its combination of thrilling experiences, warm hospitality, and commitment to safety makes it a destination worth visiting.
