Valentine’s Day may have passed, but it’s always a good time to express your love – especially for yourself. Here are a few of my top tips on how you can practice self-care and love all year long.
- Be Kind. Kindness goes both ways. Not only should you always try to be kind to others, but make sure to be kind to yourself! We’re all human. Things happen. As you approach each new day, make sure you’re doing what you can to treat yourself with kindness.
- Say No. As the OG Olsen sisters say, “’No’ is a full sentence.” If you don’t have the capacity to take on that extra task, or go out for drinks for friends – or, simply don’t want to – listen to what you need and just say no.
- Prioritize “Me” Time. Whether its 10 minutes, or an entire day – figure out what you need, and then make sure to schedule some time to fulfil those needs and prioritize yourself.
- Get Active. More exercise = more endorphins. Figure out what you like best (yoga, gym, or even a nice walk outside), make it an ongoing part of your schedule, and watch as you feel better each day.
- Sleep. We often underestimate the power of a good night’s sleep. Make sure to prioritize sleep every day to help feel your best and avoid being burnt out.
