Last week, Andie and I took on NYC with our client Blo Blow Dry Bar to raise brand awareness and promote Blo’s summer hair menu. We planned an activation that brought Blo’s “Blo On The Go” services to the HQs of several national consumer media outlets including People, Glamour, SELF, Women’s Health, BETCHES and Refinery 29.
Appropriately dubbed “Boozy Blow Outs,” we came to each office bearing cocktails ranging from Aperol Spritzes to rose all day and a variety of styling options from Blo’s signature hair menu and new summer menu that gave the ladies a fresh tress to impress. The Blo Babes not only styled everyone, but shared expert insight into the season’s trends and inspirations behind the new summer menu looks.
Not only did the events generate awareness of Blo, but they also gave us an opportunity to meet face-to-face with key media contacts for future editorial coverage and partnerships. As an added bonus, Boozy Blow Outs were all over social media, with posts reaching almost 7 million people (special shout out to Betches for posting on their Instagram story!). The week ended with a celebratory toast with our client which to us, is the ultimate sign that the events were a success!
