3 New Food Items to Check Out  in the Fall That Aren’t a Pumpkin Spiced Latte

I think it’s safe to say this time of year is among the most liked by everyone. If you live in New England or by the Smokey Mountains, you get to experience fall foliage. If you’re in South Florida like us and trying to get into the holiday spirit despite the 80 degree weather, you visit your local Trader Joes and stock up on anything with the word pumpkin or harvest. It’s about the only thing we can do to convince ourselves that we are no longer in summer and it SHOULD start to cool down any time now. If you’re a Floridian or happen to be spending time in the Sunshine State but wishing it felt more like fall, I compiled a list of the best items to try this year from one of our fave places – Trader Joes.

Pumpkin bread mix

The best pumpkin bread ever! I’ve already made two batches (one for my husband and I and one for my in-laws). I’m not much of a baker so when I saw that all you need are eggs, oil and water, I was in! As it’s baking, it also acts as a candle and fills your home up with the ideal fall scents.

Fall zucchette pasta

Not going to lie, the shape of this pasta was what caught my attention. These pumpkin-looking noodles are not only fun to look at, but also delicious to munch on. The butternut squash flavors match perfectly with Trader Joe’s jalapeno chicken sausages and a spoonful of vodka pasta sauce. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Autumnal harvest soup

Found among the other soups, this harvest tomato soup is creamy, flavorful and pairs well with a gooey  American grilled cheese. We tried this combo last weekend and it was so good, I don’t regret putting my healthy eating habits aside and loading up on carbs. This also makes for a great and easy lunch option that’ll heat up in 2-3 minutes.
