20 Questions with Kaitlin Boyle

Hailing from the Big Apple, Kaitlin brings her passion for public relations and her creativity for pitching to Fish every day. She knows how to light up a room with her bubbly personality or her Disney dance moves (more on that below). She is our resident boy-band expert, with a special place in her heart for The Jonas Brothers – and Kurt Cobain – who knew?! And she sure can belt out some Shania Twain if you mix tequila and karaoke. We’re lucky to have her creative mind on our team. Read more about Kaitlin below!

Work you and personal you likely differ slightly. So how would your friends describe you?
My friends are my family, and I will always go out of my way to make sure they feel as such, so definitely loyal. My other main priority is keeping the good vibes going, making sure everyone is always laughing and having a great time.

I am also always known as “the planning friend” – from trips, concert tickets, dinner reservations, etc. So they’d definitely describe me as determined, somewhat organized and always down for anything.

And how would Lorne describe you?
I would hope Lorne would describe me as an avid go-getter who loves to find new ways to gain results for our clients. I am always keeping a keen eye on the latest news and trends because I love being able to think quickly and creatively for my clients and get them the best media coverage.

Bookworm or TV addict?
I love both but I am guilty of constantly re-watching all my favorite comfort TV shows.

What’s your funniest Fish memory?
Probably when the team asked what I did my first night in Fort Lauderdale and I told them my Dad recommended I check out the Elbo Room – everyone’s faces were priceless!

If you were Lorne for a day, what would you do?
Test out every Hand & Stone franchise so that the team can have real-life experiences to reference when pitching. Research purposes only of course!

Early bird or night owl?
Night owl

What are you currently binge watching?
‘Tis the season for The Vampire Diaries! I just visited the town in Covington, GA where it was filmed over Labor Day weekend, so I was inspired to re-watch (for the 5th time).

Tacos – hard shell or soft shell?
Soft shell usually, unless it’s a Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would’ve loved to have been alive when The Beatles were ruling the world.

If it were up to you, what would your song selection be for conference line hold music?
The ten-minute version of All Too Well so we have something to enjoy while we wait for the host to start the meeting.

Bloody Mary or Mimosa? And you can’t say both, although I’d absolutely respect it.
Mimosa always!

You can bring anyone as a date to a dinner party, dead or alive, who’s your plus one?
Kurt Cobain – not only is he one of my favorite people and artists, but he also has such a creative mind with an intriguing personal background that would peak everyone’s interest.

We know you can’t sing, but what’s your go-to karaoke song?
Man! I Feel like a Woman! by Shania Twain

What’s your party trick?
Performing Disney choreographed dances – specifically the Hoedown Throwdown or anything from High School Musical.

Pick your poison – straight shot or mixed cocktail?
Mixed cocktail, preferably an espresso martini with tequila.

Amy Poehler or Amy Schumer?
Amy Poehler, because she’s not a regular mom, she’s a cool mom.

If you could spend a year living anywhere in the world, where would it be?
London – it truly is my favorite place in the world, I have been about 6 times and each time I find new things to love and explore.

When was the last time you told a lie? And if you say you don’t lie, then your answer should be “right this second.”
Saying I wasn’t going to order a margarita at dinner last night (spoiler alert, I did!).

Besides an ice-cold cocktail, what motivates you?
At work, I live for a good newsjacking moment that ties perfectly to my client. I’m always most motivated by these moments because it forces me to be scrappy and creative, but also provides a fresh perspective to the client in terms of ways we can more effectively promote their company and relevant news to the media.

In my personal life, definitely my friends and family. My parents have made so many scarifies in their lives to ensure I am the confident, educated person I am today, and making them proud is always my biggest motivation.
