20 Questions with Amanda Bortzfield

A force to be reckoned with, Amanda’s a natural born leader and does anything it takes to get the job done. We don’t call her Demanda for nothing. This mantra will really come in handy when Amanda gives birth next month – to two twin girls (who, by the way, will have the cutest nursery on the planet)! Amanda and her husband Erik will have their hands full but luckily, they have plenty of parenting experience under their belts thanks to their first child Kain, a eight-year-old Shiba Inu who is ready to officially become a big brother. Here are some tidbits about Amanda to hold you over while she’s on maternity leave.

Work you and personal you likely differ slightly. So how would your friends describe you
Do they differ? I guess they would say I’m demanding, but loveable. And I think my Fishies would agree.

Driven, organized, demanding

Bookworm or TV addict?
TV definitely.

That time they made me rake leaves as a “team building” activity.

If you were Lorne for a day, what would you do?
I would instill a mandatory lunch break from 1-2p.m. where everyone HAD to leave his or her desks! I think it’s healthy to get some fresh air and a break in the day.

Early bird or night owl?
Currently neither – but that’s because I’m 8 months pregnant with twins and sleep is a distant memory….

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend – part comedy, part musical, what more could you ask for?

Really? You must know be well enough by now to know that I wouldn’t change a thing!!!!

If it were up to you, what would your song selection be for conference line hold music?
Um – actually – Adele “Hello” was my song selection. Are you saying you don’t like it? Because I still think it’s hilarious…”HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDEEEE” (get it?)

Bloody Mary or Mimosa? And you can’t say both, although I’d absolutely respect it.
Actually, I choose neither. My preferred is the bellini.

You can bring anyone as a date to a dinner party, dead or alive, who’s your plus one?
Donald Trump – HAHA that will get people fired up.

We know you can’t sing, but what’s your go-to karaoke song?
Actually I can sing, pretty well! I was a musical theatre major in college. Go to song is “Greatest Love of All” – Whitney Houston. I used to sing it in the old folks homes to make people smile 🙂

What’s your party trick?
I can tie a cherry stem with my tongue.

Pick your poison – straight shot or mixed cocktail?
Again – declining these options. Rose champagne!

Amy Poehler or Amy Schumer?

If you could spend a year living anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Turks and Caicos

When was the last time you told a lie? And if you say you don’t lie, then your answer should be “right this second.”
I’m really not a liar – I’d rather be a straight shooter even if it means people get mad at me/my response!

Besides an ice cold cocktail, what motivates you?

If your name were an acronym, what would it stand for?
Married to my best friend
Always loveable
Never wrong
