20 Questions with Alex Stone

To many of us here at Fish, summer is the season we wait for all year. Not because of the blue skies and sunny days (although that doesn’t hurt), but because it means Summer Fridays are officially back in action. But even more importantly, we get our favorite intern back! Alex came to us before she even graduated high school… talk about over achiever… and we couldn’t be more grateful for her help. With little experience in PR, Alex jumped right in and quickly became a staple member of our team. Here we are, four years later, and we still haven’t scared her away. Alex took a trip to Israel before she started her internship this year and for a second there, we thought we might have lost her to the Dead Sea (which we would have totally supported, by the way). But lucky for us, Alex returned to her summer home at Fish and we couldn’t be happier. Read below to get to know our budding PR rockstar.

Work you and personal you likely differ slightly. So how would your friends describe you?
Hmm… loyal, sweet and sometimes savage.

And how would Lorne describe you?
Hopefully hardworking!

Bookworm or TV addict?
TV addict for sure – anything on Bravo and you can bet I’m already watching it.

What’s your funniest Fish memory?
Would have to say Summer Fun 2017. More of a had-to-be-there sort of thing, but nonetheless funny.

If you were Lorne for a day, what would you do?
You know those little food stands they have in hotels and airports? I would put those around the office so we’d always have plenty of choices! Like a Chick-fil-A stand – their Diet Coke is to die for!

Early bird or night owl?
Would love to be an early bird but have to say night owl.

What are you currently binge watching on Netflix?
The Staircase – an amazing did he or didn’t he docu-series and as Stassi Schroeder says, “I’m really into murder”.

Tacos – hard shell or soft shell?
Kinda a picky eater and not really a taco fan, so neither.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Hmm… maybe to not be as shy around new people?

If it were up to you, what would your song selection be for conference line hold music?
Ooooh, unpopular opinion but anything country.

Bloody Mary or Mimosa? And you can’t say both, although I’d absolutely respect it.
Mimosas, although I wish I liked Bloody Mary’s – I feel like they’re very classy lol

You can bring anyone as a date to a dinner party, dead or alive, who’s your plus one?
Chrissy Teigen. Don’t have to ask me twice.

We know you can’t sing, but what’s your go-to karaoke song?
Anything and everything by John Legend.

What’s your party trick?
I don’t think I have one, unfortunately.

Pick your poison – straight shot or mixed cocktail?
Shot, quick and easy (most of the time).

Amy Poehler or Amy Schumer?
Ugh, neither… but did just binge all of John Mulaney’s comedy specials on Netflix and he beats both of the Amy’s.

If you could spend a year living anywhere in the world, where would it be?
South Africa, hands down.

When was the last time you told a lie? And if you say you don’t lie, then your answer should be “right this second.”
Right this second.

Besides an ice cold cocktail, what motivates you?
Uh, can I say money? Or my family and friends but that’s boring.

If your name were an acronym, what would it stand for?
A – adventurous
L – loyal
E – eager
X – (e)xcellent
