It’s safe to say that Nicole figured out she wanted to pursue a career in PR looong before the rest of us did. When she was prepping to start dual enrollment classes at a local community college in her hometown of Ocala, Florida, the summer before 11th grade, she had to pick a major. (No pressure, right?!) Nicole knew she wanted to someday be a Florida Gator, so she and her mom reviewed every major UF offered — yep, every single one — and Nicole fell in love with the idea of PR.
PR was clearly the right path for Nicole’s never-quit personality. In her first year as a media relations associate, she set a goal to land a client coverage with BuzzFeed — and nailed it. Not only did she deliver BuzzFeed, but the story was also picked up by a second major national outlet, HuffPost. Since then, Nicole has never considered a “no” from a reporter as failure, but rather an opportunity to dig deeper to find a stronger media angle or a more creative approach to helping her clients reach their goals. And that’s exactly why we think she’s a great addition to the Fish fam!
But what we also love about Nicole is her passion for giving back. In college, she co-founded a student-run volunteer organization called Royal For A Reason, where she and her fellow students would dress up like Disney princesses and visit pediatric cancer patients at the local hospital. The group is still around today, helping to put smiles on kiddos’ faces.
When she’s not generating media hits for clients or belting out Disney tunes, you’ll probably find Nicole at the beach. In fact, she’s kind of a pro when it comes to Florida’s beaches. A native of the Sunshine State, Nicole spent many weekends visiting Florida’s coast — but her favorite is Destin, which she loves for its crystal-clear water and deep sea fishing tours.
