Jami was born for the PR life. She’s a total news junkie, a natural communicator, and loves the problem solving that comes with finding new and creative avenues to promote a brand. Even in her personal life, Jami has used her PR expertise and savvy problem-solving skills to create memorable moments for herself and those around her. Take her wedding, for instance. When the pandemic forced Jami and her husband to cancel their wedding weekend in San Francisco, they got creative. She and her husband, whose last name is Cook, opted to stick with their original wedding date and got married at Jami’s parents’ house. Yep — a Baker and Cook got married in a kitchen!
For over a decade, Jami has been developing creative strategies to land big national media hits for her clients, which have ranged from restaurants and hotels to law firms, nonprofits, cultural institutions, technology companies, and more. Whether it’s the cover of The New York Times science section or a feature on CNBC.com (all things she’s secured!), Jami loves that “PR high” that comes with generating the type of coverage that truly moves the needle on a client’s business.
We knew from the minute we met Jami that she’d fit right in at Fish. But beyond her clear strategic PR prowess, we love having another Florida Gator / dog mom / yogi / lover of murder documentaries on the team! When Jami’s not in the office, you’ll probably find this Florida native outdoors enjoying the sunshine, searching for her next favorite restaurant or recipe to cook at home, or kicking back with a glass of wine and a good Cosmo magazine.
