Ashley loves telling stories. It’s a trait she inherited from her very talkative mother — except Ashley opted to make a career out of it. Actually, two careers. When she’s not pitching client success stories to national media outlets like The Wall Street Journal, Inc, and CNBC, Ashley’s contributing her own pieces as a freelance writer for The Washington Post Magazine, HuffPost, and USA Today’s sponsored content studio.
After earning her bachelor’s degree — an eclectic mix of journalism, art history, and studio art — from the University of Miami, Ashley joined the global communications team at Burger King Corporation where she developed a passion for the restaurant industry and was introduced to the world of franchising. She joined Fish Consulting in 2012 as an account manager and, today, leads the creation of national media relations strategies for brands like Wendy’s, Jersey Mike’s, FASTSIGNS, Massage Heights, Quaker Steak & Lube, and the IFA Foundation, among others. She’s also a self-proclaimed legislative issues nerd. Give her a glass of wine and she can talk about minimum wage, tax reform, and joint employer for hours.
Ashley currently leads Fish’s operations in the Washington, D.C., area, where she lives with her boyfriend and their zoo — two dogs and a cat.
