Staying motivated to workout

The beginning of my day usually starts with a nice workout, a good breakfast, and then getting ready for work. But now that the air is getting a little bit colder and the sun is rising a little bit later, I find myself staying in bed as long as possible before leaving for work. I mean, if the suns not out why should I be, right?

To help me stay motivated, I looked into some tips to help me get out of bed. If you’re going through the same thing I am, maybe these will help you too!

Make a playlist that’ll pump you up

Creating your own high-energy playlist will definitely help get you on your feet. Personally, nothing gets me moving like jamming to some Cardi B and Slim Shady classics. So putting that in a playlist and blasting it definitely helps motivate me to workout. Some studies show that choosing songs that have 125 to 140 beats per minute is optimal tempo to boost your stamina.

Find a friend

Making plans to work out with a friend has definitely been one of the biggest motivators for me. When someone else’s’ schedule is in the mix, it makes it harder for me to cancel. Plus, you get to hang out with your friend!

Make it cost you

Many gyms make you sign up for classes prior to going – and cancelling can cost you anywhere from $10-$30. For many, such as myself, that helps me be way less inclined to stay in bed and much more motivated to get a good workout in.
