Fish Named a One of the Industry’s Best Places to Work by PRWeek

In the words of Britney Spears, Oops We Did it Again! Won another Best Places to Work recognition, that is. In all seriousness, we’re incredibly proud of the countless awards we’ve received over the years recognizing the tremendous company culture we’ve built here at Fish. Investing in our people and their well-being has always been a top priority, and it’s an honor to have our efforts celebrated by some of the industry’s most prestigious rankings. We learned that we had made this year’s PRWeek Best Places to Work ranking our very first week back after the holidays, so it’s safe to say 2020 is off to a great start. PRWeek’s annual Best Places to Work initiative honors the top agencies and in-house teams that were ranked a cut above by their associates on important issues including workplace culture and salary. Keep reading to learn more about how we have created a collaborative and motivating environment by putting company culture first.

Support Employee Development

We recognize that each individual has their own strengths and personal goals, and we empower Fishies to choose their own paths. Giving our employees the liberty to work on accounts and projects that are aligned with their passions fosters their development and is the key to our high retention rate. Additionally, we are also committed to transparency, and embrace an open-door policy. Every employee has direct access to our CEO and senior leaders, and involving them in every aspect of the business communicates that they are all part of the bigger picture.

Since day one, we have prioritized offering our employees perks as a way to recognize their contributions to the business, including:

  • Take your dog to work day – everyday (the first ‘people’ to greet you when you walk through our office doors will always be Abbie and Maddie, Andie and Sam’s pups!)

  • Fishmas Holiday Celebration – Similar to Summer Fun, all Fish employees gather in South Florida for two days of celebrations and out-of-office bonding. We’ve done everything from an adventure ropes course to a scavenger hunt throughout South Beach and mojito-making class, to spending the night in the Florida Keys.

Relaxed Dress Code

A company’s dress code is an extension of its culture, so requiring employees to come to work in suits and skirts doesn’t exactly match our vibe. We give our staff the freedom to dress in whatever they are most comfortable in, and have no problem with them rocking their favorite Lululemon pants in the office.
