A Deep Dive into Focus Brands’ Conference

Over the past two years, business trips and conferences have been on hold. Now, they’re back on! This past month we drove up to Orlando to attend our client Focus Brands’ Global Conference and it was so refreshing to be back in the mix. While we spend most of our day communicating with clients via email and phone calls, it’s nice to see each other in person and the Focus conference was no exception!

During the two-day event, Focus Brands executives spoke to franchisees about the company’s record-breaking year, what contributed to the success in 2021 and how the company is continuing to build off this momentum in 2022. The biggest discussion centered around Focus’ digital transformation. The leading developer of global, multi-channel foodservice brands is investing millions of dollars in enhancing their brands’ digital capabilities to better serve customers, make these restaurant and specialty brands more accessible and convenient for guests, and ultimately, drive digital sales and loyalty memberships.

A highlight for me was also attending the expo. On the first night of the conference, we had the opportunity to go around the room and stop by each brand booth to taste new food and beverage offerings. My favorites were Schlotzsky’s new calzone and McAlister’s gnocchi soup! Focus also unveiled a new specialty brand concept that brings together two iconic brands together under one roof. More to come on that later this year! All in all, the Focus conference was a great success and we can’t wait to apply what we learned from a PR perspective.
