1HUDDLE is Driving Workforce Change Through Gamification

Training is boring. We all know that and yet, companies around the world continue to force rookie and veteran employees to read handbooks, take tests and sit at their computer screens for hours watching endless training videos.

Ask our client, 1HUDDLE, about training today’s workforce and they’ll tell you that companies are getting it wrong. By 2020, more than half of the workforce will be millennial or Gen Z and 1HUDDLE is determined to ensure these younger workers are prepared to tackle employment beginning on day one. Through the use of science-backed quick-burst mobile games, 1HUDDLE is helping companies recognize that training can be fun.  And, companies can quickly and easily convert existing onboarding manuals, training videos, compliance/safety certifications and communications into games that help create healthy internal competition.

In May 2018, Fish was hired and tasked with sharing 1HUDDLE’s viewpoint on workforce training and the future of work. In order to organize our outreach, we began targeting media that focused on hospitality, franchising and health and wellness. We wanted to use 1HUDDLE’s client roster to its advantage and began to highlight testimonials and case studies from a variety of clients including Loews Hotels, Dog Haus, Hand & Stone and FASTSIGNS. In addition, we connected with national business outlets to allow 1HUDDLE to share their thoughts with c-suite executives that may be looking to make a change in their company training strategy.

Following our outreach, Fish immediately began to see results and secured coverage with key vertical outlets including Franchising World, Hotel Business, Hospitality Technology and Fast Casual. Fish also secured coverage with the Orlando Sentinel for a story that focused on Loews Hotels’ usage of 1HUDDLE’s platform. The story was syndicated to 30+ outlets in the Gannett network. Additionally, we secured a byline with Fast Company for 1HUDDLE’s founder and CEO, Sam Caucci.  The byline focused on the need for CEOs to make the proper decisions in order to ensure their workers are prepared to work at a high level. From May – December 2018, Fish’s strategic outreach secured more than 175 million media impressions.

As 1HUDDLE continues to evolve and sign new clients, Fish will work to share their story with a variety of national print, digital and broadcast media to ensure that their story is brought to the forefront of key workforce issues. Lots of hard work goes into ensuring mobile gamification is working for 1HUDDLE’s clients and Fish wants to do our part to spread awareness.
